THREE games I can’t wait for next season!

|

Yes! Come on! Oh my God! Just a few expressions (minus the expletives) uttered on Saturday around the 4.45 pm mark. I awoke groggy and hungover on Sunday to the stark realisation that my beloved West Ham United are back in the big time, playing our

closest rivals once again and competing in the best league in the world!

The fastest growing Hammers website is now on Facebook, click the link to be entered into our up and coming competitions http://www.facebook.com/pages/ForeverWestHamcom/200938616608282

Just think of the games that we can look forward to seeing at the Boleyn next season. With the atmosphere now restored from the negative vibe that has haunted us for over three seasons, perhaps the Hammers can push for a top half finish.

Here’s my top three games for the new season.

Tottenham Hotspur

Every West Ham fan’s pet hate, Spurs have enjoyed success and heartbreak with their quest for Champions League football. I can think of nothing better than to inflict a painful defeat on Harry Redknapp’s boys that will hopefully mean another season on Channel 5 for West Ham Hero Scott Parker’s new Team (not that I’m bitter).

Norwich Away

A lot of my family currently reside in sunny Norfolk and this away trip will be a great opportunity to get together. The last time we played them in the FA Cup a great day was had by all and the Hammers supporters were in great voice and numbers. Should

be a great family day out (if we win)!

Chelsea

The visit of Frank and his chum’s is always a circle in any West Ham fans calendar. Although the abuse of Frank Lampard is in my opinion over the top considering what his family have done for this club, it does make for a lively atmosphere and a compelling

fixture.

Which games stand out for you next season?

Is Lampard’s inevitable hard time really deserved 11 years on?

Hapy to be up, but would rather play Millwall than SPurs or anyone else

they’re our main rivals, always have been and always will be

can’t see it coming up in the cup though

I look forward to every game – to see how we play – Spurs aren’t my “pet hate” nor should they be for any grown-up fan – it’s about us not “stand up if you hate – Tottenham, Millwall, Chelsea etc etc” – it all makes us look like a bitter small club – have some class – and who gives anything about Millwall. For choice I look forward to seeing the Manchester clubs to see the best in the country – and as my daughter will be at Durham Uni I shall try and get to Newcastle away to savour the atmosphere there.
    Roll on August 18th.

Come on John, rivalry has always been a part of football. That’s why the atmosphere at Upton Park has suffered in recent years, all these people just wanting it to be like a day out at the theatre. Even in the 60s teams were intimidated when coming to Upton Park. Take it from me, UP needs to be a hostile place in the Prem to give us an advantage. So after three…”stand up if you hate Tottenham…”
