In my opinion promotion is promotion, although with the squad of players Big Sam had at his disposal a automatic place should have been a given.
Success is measured by status and if the Hammers can lift themselves up to the top level once again the Allardyce era will certainly continue into the new season.
Whether Big Sam has what it takes to win over West Ham fans in the Premier League is another story. Next season survival is obviously the key but the Hammers faithful will not put up with ugly losing football for long.
I personally believe Big Sam will lead the Hammers to play-off glory and a solid first season in the Premier League, as for his popularity a good result on Saturday will certainly tip the opinion polls in the favour of the larger than life character.

With some decent investment in the summer the struggle of this season will hopefully be a faded memory in my mind and we can all look forward to playing our Premier League rivals next season with renewed vigour.
