RUMOUR MILL: Another Spurs outcast to the Boleyn?

|

West Ham are being linked with a loan move for Croatian international Vedran Ćorluka. With Big Sam having already said that he aims to bring in a defender to tighten up the back it is hardly surprising that we are beginning to be linked with some.

West Ham have been linked with a number of Spurs players in the past couple of days and the latest is the 25 year old Spurs number 22. With Kyle Walker keeping him out of the team it is not a surprise that Harry Redknapp has decided to send him out on loan.

Having played 80 games for Tottenham and already 52 for the national team Ćorluka could certainly bring some experience to the defence and that much needed substance.

Tottenham paid £5.5 million for the defender back in 2008 which saw him move to White Hart Lane on a 6 year contract. There is no doubt that we would not be looking into buying him but we are currently looking into a loan deal. Although today it was announced that this deal is now unlikely due to wage issues it is encouraging that Allardyce is looking into different opportunities to sign players.
