Kelley Blanchflower opened the scoring for West Ham in the first half before Becky Merritt missed the chance to double the Hammers’ lead from the spot. But goals from April Bowers and Merritt secured West Ham’s progression in the competition.

The Hammers will find out who their semi final opponents are on Wednesday when the draw is made with the chance of playing the likes of Barking Ladies or Colchester United Ladies on the 19th February 2012.

West Ham Ladies return to league action next week with a crucial away trip to Queens Park Rangers Ladies, a must-win game for the team in the chase for promotion from the FA Women’s Premier League Southern Division.
