The January transfer window will open in only a matter of days and rumours are circulating every football league club, and that does not exclude West Ham.
There is talk of players coming and going, one of the more prominent rumours is regarding our home-grown midfielder Mark Noble. It looks as if Fulham will come in with a big bid in January and although I personally would hate too see Noble go, there is just a reluctant part of me that thinks he might end up departing the Boleyn ground.
If Noble does leave then we will have no choice but to bring in another midfielder. It’s all good saying that the youth talent should get a chance but we will be going into the second half of the season and this will prove to be a crucial time for us in our push for promotion. There is a high chance that the inexperienced youth talent will not be able to fill the midfield like Mark Noble can.
If Big Sam does decide to let Noble go then he will have to look for a replacement. And here are my top 5 candidates;
5; Stephen Dawson; an unlikely inclusion, the Leyton Orient 26 year old captain works extremely hard. He puts himself around the pitch well and can score goals too. A man that runs for 90 minutes non stop I could see Dawson fitting into the team well, even though a lower league player I still think he would be a good replacement for Noble.
4; Jonathan Greening; the Nottingham Forest man has Premier League experience from the top level from playing at Man U, a player that can hit a deadball like not many others Greening would be a decent replacement for Noble and a realistic one.
3; Adam Lallana; the 23 year old Southampton man would be a terrific addition to the squad. An extremely skilful player, Lallana would bring another level to the midfield with his skill and eye for goal.
2;Jonny Howson; the 23 year old Leeds captain. The engine of the Leeds side Howson is the boss of the Leeds midfield. With an extremely high work rate and good strength, he leads from the front and would be another top replacement.
1; Niko Kranjčar; the out of favour Spud midfielder is my ideal replacement for Noble, with his high skill levels and good work rate he could help fill the void if one of my favourite Hammers does seek pastures new.

Howson is currently injured so I’d rule him out. Doubt he’d leave Leeds anyway, he’s a local lad who has been with the club since he was a kid.
zactly
Why would howson Wana go and play fr u muppets u won’t even have a stadium to blow ure bubbles soon
Kev mate, your spelling is just likes Leeds style of football… atrocious, so pipe down and learn a thing or two about football because if anyone is a muppet it’s you.
kev atleast we will be buying players in january unlike leeds lol
leeds r crap thats why
There’s no way S’oton would sell Lallana to us, although he’d be a great addition to almost any squad. Agree with Shed about Howson too. Kranjcar would be good, but can’t see that happening. Our best option would be to hold onto Noble, so I’m hoping the rumours are untrue.
Howson is out for 3 months so goodluck with that west ham!
P.s Enjoy your graveyard sports stadium 🙂
Neither Upton Park or Stratford are like a backyard industrial estate though to be fair lol
