Right readers. Another week, another rant from Kat. I’m starting to get a reputation here…
Well. I think it’s time to talk about Carlton. No, not the loveable one in the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, but our over chuffed striker. I’m massively fed up of all the negativity surrounding Carlton from a lot of our fans. They can’t wait to shout abuse at him or moan when he misplaces a single pass.
And now that he’s actually becoming a bit of a super sub, everyone loves him again. But as far as I’m concerned, there was no real reason to be anti-Carlton in the first place.
Allardyce has played him this season when he wasn’t fully fit and it’s surely not his fault that that decision was made by the manager? I mean, at least he’s trying and he didn’t jump ship when we got relegated, unlike other players I could mention. Yes Matthew Upson, I mean you. How’s life warming up the Stoke bench?
I notice that nobody is getting on Carew’s back (except for opposition defenders) despite the fact that he hasn’t exactly set Upton Park alight. Even Piquionne, who hadn’t scored since March until this weekend, doesn’t seem to get as much stick as Cole.
Can anyone shed some light on this issue? Cole may not be the fastest, or most prolific, but he has the ability to change games and you can tell when he’s fully fit that he tries his hardest and wants to be there. I think he’s a great asset to any squad, and don’t really understand the Hammers fans that think otherwise. I for one hope that he’s with us for a long time to come.

Hammer fans always jerk on C.C. when his form is inconsistent..
To be fair, C.C. did miss alot of chances but at least he try to win the ball back when it strayed to the opposition..
He even said he’s commited to WH, unlike some players who always in there for the money…
I remembered one time when C.C. form was underlevel, people called him Can’t Control Carlton Cole but when his form stacked up at the beginning of the season, there is not a single negative comment on the player..
