A Noble Captain?

|

Mark Noble as of late has been impressing with his form for West Ham. In this writers humble opinion has been at the centre of most the good things the team have produced so far this season.

Putting in shifts that could easily mark him out as a footballer playing for someone like Arsenal, Mark Noble in my eyes has been our man of the season so far. Big Sam brought in Kevin Nolan in the summer which of course was a fantastic move for the Irons and it shows in which positive direction we are heading in. However Nolan was made automatic captain and I think that was unfair as the other players didn’t even have a chance to stake a claim for the captaincy.

The former Newcastle captain of course is a natural born leader and he has showed this at his previous clubs, but Noble this season has (as some fans are saying) “emerged from Parker’s shadow” The Englishman is now showing that perhaps he could have made a big claim for the captain’s armband after Upson’s departure.

Everything seems to be revolving around the 24 year old, from defending and making goal saving tackles to attacking and putting through the pin point passes to create goals. Mark Noble is currently showing that he is a class above. The thing I really like about the centre midfielder is that he really is West Ham through and through, he isn’t like other players that claim to support the team they play for just for the fans support, the Irons man really does support the team he plays for. West Ham is the only team Noble has played for in his short but noticeable career apart from two loan spells at Hull and Ipswich, he joined the Hammers as a school boy and became the youngest player at 15 years old to feature for the reserve side. From there he has came on leaps and bounds by becoming one of the main players in the side and a player that deserved to be in a better team last season when we were relegated.

Mark Noble, I feel deserves to be captain, he is a fantastic player who at the moment cannot do a thing wrong, he is the type of player that I want leading my club; passionate, dedicated and talented. I hope we see the man of the moment given the captaincy in the near future as I feel he is the best man for the job and he could do West Ham a terrific service.

Nolan clearly has a clause in his contract making him captain, hence why Parker was never given it as well. With a 5 year contract and below par performances in the Championship I really doubt you’ll see a change of captaincy as long as Nolan’s fit enough to start. Another pointless article.

I agree fully. Nolan seems to gobby to be the captain. He should be the calming influence between fired up players and the ref. Noble as you say is of Claret & Blue blood and i for one would hate to see him ever leave. COYI !!!!

Stew at the end of the day its a matter of opinion. I never said i think Noble will get it I was saying how he is worthy so maybe you should read it properly. If you have nothing decent to say then just dont comment because its pointless. Its not in any way as you so nicely say “pointless”. Thankyou ex Mrflo, thats the attitude of a true hammer. Thankyou for your comment. COYI !
