Crisis? What Crisis?

|

Football can be a fickle game sometimes. West Ham are lying fourth in the Championship, but despite picking up one point from the last two games, there are murmurs of a “crisis.”

That is absolute rubbish. Yes, matches against Ipswich at home and Crystal Palace away you would expect at least four points from those two games. We didn’t. Oh well we’ll have to move on.

During our previous stay in the Championship, we were so inconsistent it was frightening. The Hammers hardly had any unbeaten runs or anything like that. Before the Ipswich defeat, West Ham were seven matches unbeaten in the league. More unbeaten runs like that and promotion will definitely be achieved.

It was disappointing not to beat Ipswich last Tuesday, from what I saw we deserved a draw but not necessarily a win. To concede another late goal at Upton Park is annoying, something that needs to be addressed.

West Ham played better at Crystal Palace. To get a point coming back from behind twice against a team going well this season is a great effort. It was nice to see Kevin Nolan score and for John Carew to grab his first West Ham goal. This means we stay unbeaten away from home this season, which is fantastic, a far cry from our away record in the past couple of seasons.

Yes, getting one point of two matches is not great but the way we are playing this season, I am still confident of promotion. COYI
