According to The Mirror, the latest name that is in the frame to join West Ham in January is midfielder James Cowan from Dundee.

The report suggests that Cowan has been monitored by the east London club for some time and that Slaven Bilic has seen enough to lodge a bid though he could find that he has competition from the likes of Derby County for his signature.

The 18-year-old plays in central midfield for the Scottish club and could be set for a move south of the border if the Croatian manger gets his way.

The midfielder’s name is the latest in a long line of players to be linked with the Hammers ahead of an undoubtedly important January window for the club and so it’s likely he wouldn’t be the only acquisition to join when the market opens.

We reckon, then, that these three players could follow him through the doors to play in claret and blue…
