SEVEN Reasons West Ham Are The Best Team In The World

1.  Fans – we don’t have a goon with a bell but we do have some of the most loyal and honourable fans ever. Who else would go in their thousands – six thousand to be exact – to Coventry!? In a time where you see less and less away fans following their team cross country, we sell out our away allocation for every single match. I’m not sure many other teams could say that, especially in the second tier. Oh, and our fans are definitely the best looking!

2. Upton Park – from the Doc Martens – sorry- the Alpari stand and how well its makeover has been covered up to the East stand which will never be redone. Let’s not forget the high end apartments that have a great view of the ground! It’s a fortress and no team is comfortable there. In my opinion our stadium has a bloody great atmosphere.

3. The passion – Come on, how can this not make the list? Some of our fans are mental with their passion! And, even better, we don’t have a guy with a bell! Sorry, he really gets to me. I love going to matches, I love talking to fans on twitter, I just love the passion that our fans show.

4. The fact that we don’t do well all the time. This sounds like a weird one, eh? Well I for one am glad that we’re not always at the top of the Premier League. Imagine if we had glory hunters like Manchester United fans? I’d HATE it. Picture the scene – people who know nothing about football will start saying they support us to sound cool. I never want that to happen – we’re an exclusive establishment!

5. We’re everyone’s second team. Literally everyone I speak to that doesn’t support West Ham calls the Hammers their second team. Apart from Steve ‘I hope we sent them down’ Bruce, I don’t know a single person who doesn’t want West Ham to do well. I love that I can talk to any football fan and their face will light up when I say what team I support.

6. We have very errr… Manly songs?! From Baldock and his huge talent to Christian Dailly and his individual goal scoring talent. I love our songs and the fact that all our players seem to have their own individual funny quality.

7. The things we overlook as they’re so over said but so important – we won the world cup, true academy of football… We’re just, well we’re just bloody fantastic OK? That’s what I’ve tried to convey here, I hope you’ve got the gist.
