After a productive week in the market, Graham Potter is beginning to shape his West Ham squad for the upcoming season.

The Hammers completed the signings of El Hadji Malick Diouf and Kyle Walker-Peters last week, making the pair Potter’s first major signings this summer window.

Diouf put in a positive performance in West Ham’s 3-1 friendly win against Grasshoppers over the weekend, exciting many Hammers fans on social media.

Walker-Peters has also jumped into action quickly, with the 28-year-old enjoying his first training session with the squad on Monday.

Hammers fans will undoubtedly be hoping to see the pair feature in the upcoming Summer Series in the United States, with West Ham’s first game against Man United kicking off on Sunday.

Hammers show interest in City sensation

Potters’ positive streak of signings is showing no signs of slowing down, with the club now reportedly interested in signing Man City’s James McAtee, according to The Guardian.

The 22-year-old had a breakthrough year under Pep Guardiola last season, featuring 27 times in all competitions and scoring seven goals.

The player is currently valued at £35million by Man City with just a year left on his contract.

McAtee was a key member of the England squad that recently won the U21 Euros, scoring once and assisting twice in the tournament.

The Hammers face competition from Eintracht Frankfurt to sign the midfielder, and the German side do have the advantage of being able to offer the player Champions League football next season.

McAtee would add much needed youth and talent to West Ham, particularly in the final third, and should the Hammers materialise a deal for the player, this could be another exciting addition to Graham Potter’s squad.
