West Ham go into the final game of the season sitting 15th in the league, registering 10 wins, 10 draws and 17 losses.
It has been a season to forget for Hammers fans, which has included a managerial sacking, alleged changing room bust-ups, last-minute heartbreaks, countless injuries and never-ending unrest.
With the transfer window on the horizon, heavy transfer activity is expected in East London this summer, which could lead to a number of departures.
West Ham have already confirmed the departures of Aaron Cresswell, Lukasz Fabianski, Vladimir Coufal and Danny Ings, who will become free agents upon the expiration of their contracts.
There has been no update on Michail Antonio’s future, with his contract also expiring this summer and the club yet to clarify whether a new deal will be offered following his serious car accident in December.
Claret and Hugh, however, have reported that the 35-year-old has been offered a short-term contract on lower wages to help with his fitness and ultimately find him an alternative club.
Loanees Carlos Soler and Evan Ferguson are expected to return to their parent clubs this summer, with a return to West Ham unlikely for the pair.
Jean-Clair Todibo, however, is expected to join the club permanently, with his obligation-to-buy clause set to be activated.
This was further hinted at by the Frenchman’s social media post, which read, ‘Huge thanks to the fans — see you next season,’ followed by a Hammers emoji.
Players Potter could cash in on
Mohammed Kudus has been linked to a big-money move away for months now, and it is believed Liverpool are one of the clubs monitoring the Ghanaian’s situation, with the forward keen on a move to the champions.
Guido Rodriguez and Edson Alvarez have also been linked with moves away from east London over the last couple of months, with talks of Rodriguez making a return to Argentina with River Plate, while Alvarez has been monitored by several clubs including Borussia Dortmund, Monaco, Chelsea and Spurs.
Football Insider has suggested that Luis Guillherme and Emerson are two players who are also being targeted this summer, while Jarrod Bowen will also be a player many clubs might be interested in following another impressive season.
