West Ham are expected to have quite the squad reshuffle this summer in what will be Graham Potter’s first summer transfer window at the club, with numerous players linked with a move away.

The Hammers currently sit 17th in the league and have most recently dropped points to already relegated Southampton at home, which is a clear reflection of how poor the East London side have been this season.

Because of the turbulent and quite frankly disastrous season West Ham have had, it’s expected that there will be a significant change in personnel this summer, and that could mean the departure of some big names.

One of these players expected to leave at the end of the season is Mohammed Kudus, who has been one of the far more disappointing performers in the squad this season after having a terrific campaign last year.

The Ghanaian has been a shadow of his former self this campaign with just three goals and two assists to his name in the league, which is a stark contrast to his 28 goal contributions last season.

Top clubs in for Kudus

Kudus has a release clause of £85 million for Premier League clubs, and according to Caught Offside, there is interest from some of the big names in English football including Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.

It is reported that the Hammers may look to sell the 24-year-old this summer so they can raise funds to make their own signings.

With Kudus clearly not shining under Potter, it would come as no surprise if he were to leave at the end of the season.

According to Football Insider, another Premier League club that have Kudus on their radar is Potter’s former side, Brighton, who are monitoring the forward as a potential replacement for Kaoru Mitoma should he leave this summer amid revisited interest from various Saudi Arabian sides.

In a real transfer merry-go-round, Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr have also showed strong interest in Kudus, especially if they’re unable to strike a deal for Mitoma, meaning we could see the West Ham forward join Cristiano Ronaldo and Jhon Duran next season. Confusing, I know.

Kudus’ release clause for Saudi Arabian teams is £120million, which would certainly be a more attractive prospect for the Hammers as they would both receive more money for the player and also avoid facing the Ghanaian international next season.
