West Ham are now unlikely to sign Lorient’s Eli Junior Kroupi and Celtic’s Daniel Cummings, according to Sky Sports.
The club proposed a deal worth £35 milion for Kroupi and £500k for Cummings, but with the Hammers still awaiting a decision from the Ligue 2 side and have had their bid for Cummings rejected by Celtic, it is now unlikely the 18-year-olds will be making the trip to east London this window.
Kroupi made his Lorient debut in Ligue 1 at the age of just 16 and is becoming a standout performer for the side topping Ligue 2 this season, scoring 10 goals in all competitions.
The deal offered included a £15 million initial fee, and then a further 10 once he reaches a certain amount of games, as well as a further 10 should he reach a certain amount of goals.
West Ham’s other target Daniel Cummings has scored 18 goals in 18 games for the Celtic reserve team and is quickly becoming a serious prospect, hence why the Scottish club have rejected West Ham’s £500k offer.
With little speculation around the Hammers making any new signings on Deadline Day, this could suggest that the club’s business in the window is done.
Ferguson official
In the big news of the window for West Ham, the club have finally announced the signing of Evan Ferguson on a loan deal that sees him at the club until the end of the season.

In a reunion for the striker with his former head coach Graham Potter, as well as coaches Billy Reid and Bruno Saltor, West Ham fans can look forward to seeing the young and hungry striker in a claret and blue shirt.
The fact the pair have worked together before will undoubtedly help with Ferguson’s integration at the club, which West Ham fans will hope will be translated into goals sooner rather than later.
It’s an exciting move for the Hammers, and I would argue the fact the centre forward has struggled for form and game time this season could work in the club’s favour as he will have a point to prove.
The striker will wear the number 34 for the club.
