West Ham have received a £12m bid from Shakhtar Donetsk for Luis Guilherme, Daily Mail reports.

The Brazilian, 18, joined the Hammers for a fee of £25.5m from Palmierias last summer.

Should the bid be accepted, this would make Guilherme the most expensive West Ham signing to have not started a game for the club in its history.

It’s hard to see how he would fit in the side any time soon, especially with the likes of Crysencio Summerville and Jarrod Bowen close to making a return from injury.

If the club were to accept the bid, West Ham fans will be scratching their heads as to why the winger was signed in the first place, having yet to be given a real chance in a claret and blue shirt, not to mention the money that will be lost on the player.

Arsenal lose Kudus interest

In other news, former West Ham scout Mick Brown has revealed that Arsenal are now uncertain on whether they want to sign Mohammed Kudus due to his level of performance this season, Football Insider reports.

Arsenal were reported to be willing to pay £83m for Kudus back in November, but with the Ghanaian struggling for form this season, the Gunners are now holding back on their interest in the player.

Kudus was a revelation in East London last season following his transfer from Ajax in the summer of 2023. The 24-year-old was a joy to watch, bringing pace, skill, power and goals to the side.

He found the back of the net 18 times and produced seven assists in all competitions during the 2023/24 campaign, and his fabulous solo goal against Freiburg in the Europa League was nominated for the 2024 FIFA Puskas award.

This season, the Hammers have struggled for form, and this has also meant the form of Mohammed Kudus has suffered as well. The former Ghana footballer of the year has only scored three times this season, struggling to reach the level of performance he did last season.

Brown says Arsenal have been ‘disappointed’ with Kudus’ inconsistency, meaning the Gunners are now hesitant about bringing the player from East to North London.

The former scout expects the player to leave West Ham in the summer should they not make Europe, but emphasises he will need to pick up his performances if he wants to make this happen.
