West Ham United once again find themselves linked with a move for former Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj.

What’s the word?

That is according to a report from journalist Jacque Talbot, via GIVEMESPORT, who claims that Hammers boss David Moyes “really likes” the 27-year-old.

Januzaj is currently a free-agent after allowing his contract with Real Sociedad to run its course and, as per the report, is tipped to reunite with former boss Moyes, having worked with him at Manchester United and Sunderland, respectively.

Talbot believes that Januzaj could be a good squad player for Moyes to call upon at the London Stadium.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, he said: “He obviously really likes him. It’s a bit of a left-field one, but why not?

“Januzaj, I think he’s got some technical ability, and I don’t think he’d be starting every week, but to fill the gaps and to come on and shake a leg, then yeah, I don’t see why not. Especially if Moyes has got history with him and clearly likes him.”

Moyes loves him

Both Moyes and Januzaj have a significant history of working together.

Moyes is ironically the manager who gave the Belgian his debut back in the 2013/2014 season as the Belgian went on to make 75 Premier League appearances for Manchester United and showed glimpses of huge potential under the Scot when he took over from Sir Alex Ferguson.

The £76k-per-week “magician”, as once dubbed by Ovie on Twitter, is best position sees him function as an inverted winger, cutting in from the right onto his left foot and serves as a direct option operating as an inside forward, achieving an average of 4.01 shot-creating actions per 90.

His average of 4.10 switches per 90 demonstrates his ability to sustain possession, with end product not the main part of his game, despite his combined 44 goal contributions in the form of 23 goals and 21 assists achieved in his time at Sociedad.

West Ham have spent around £164million on eight squad bolstering signings this window and would do well to add Januzaj as an additional forward option in a move that is made even more enticing due to his free agent status.
