West Ham have reportedly made contact with Dinamo Zagreb over a potential move for winger Mislav Orsic, according to Football Insider.
Orsic has hit the headlines recently having made himself a familiar foe to Hammers’ rivals Tottenham, following the 28-year-old’s sublime hat-trick last week to send the North Londoners out of the Europa League.
Since then Arsenal have been touted with an interest in the six times capped Croatia international, who predominantly operates on the left wing with the ability to play across the frontline.
This season has been a coming of age campaign for Orsic, after indifferent spells in China, South Korea and his homeland previously.
In 38 outings this term, the winger has scored 19 goals and added eight assists – including five goals and two assists in the Europa League.
David Moyes and Mikel Arteta alike will both be looking to bolster their options over the summer as they prepare for involvement in Europe next term.
In Moyes’ case, the Scotsman may also be looking to replace Manuel Lanzini, who is reportedly preparing for a summer departure.
OPINION
Although relatively blessed in wide options in the Lonon Stadium squad, with European competition looking likely next term, Moyes will need each and every one of his options.
Orsic’s versatility will be an additional plus and offer flexibility in selection.
Not to mention the glee West Ham fans would take in signing Spurs’ chief tormentor.
