West Ham have once again been named among the potential suitors for Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic, as per a report from German magazine Kicker (via Fussball Transfers).
With interest in the Austrian striker rife, the Hammers have remained a constant link as various reports suggest a summer move could be on the cards.
The 23-year-old has been compared to Peter Crouch owing to his 6’6 stature and could fill the void left behind by Sebastien Haller in David Moyes’ squad.
This report claims a summer move would be valued at between €20-25m (£17 – 22m), less than the Irons received from Ajax for the Ivorian striker.
Kalajdzic, a 2-cap Austria international, this season has been enjoying an inspired campaign, scoring 14 goals in 28 matches across all competitions.
OPINION
The summer quest for a striker rumbles on.
West Ham need to sign at least one frontman before next season and Kalajdzic would tick plenty of boxes for the Hammers.
Young enough to adapt to the league, strong in the air and thus far in his fledgeling career – clinical in front of goal.
At around £20m he falls nicely into the Hammers likely budget on a striker also, this could be a potential deal to watch closely.
