Many West Ham fans were getting nostalgic about Slaven Bilic on Twitter on Monday after a clip of him started doing the rounds.
Remember how he used to occasionally shrug and almost apologetically smile before shaking the opposition manager’s hand at the end of a match, well West Ham Clips have put that into a montage video for us.
This sparked plenty of loving comments and one intriguing discussion about what would have happened if the board backed him properly, after West Ham Fan Zone claimed that he would still be at London Stadium and succeeding.
At the end of the day, the recruitment after the stadium move was poor but so was Bilic’s football and if David Moyes hadn’t come in, Slav’s rut could well have taken us down in 2017/2018.
But the majority did agree with the big admission by the fan account about our ex-gaffer and the board…
