Aaron Cresswell posted a rare video on his Twitter account last Thursday evening and pleased fellow West Ham fans have been reacting to it.
The clip showed the view from his flat balcony, which appeared to be in the Isle of Dogs area, at 8pm on Thursday as the nation joined together to support the NHS in this tough time.
A chorus of clapping and loud cheers could be heard from across the city as the lights flickered everywhere – a touching moment to show the NHS that we’re all behind them as we battle against Covid-19.
Football takes a step back at this time with much more important matters at hand, but when we do return to our normal lives and our sport comes back, we should all spare a thought for those key workers who have helped us get there.
