Plenty of our minds have turned back to the 2015/2016 season in the last 24 hours, with the club streaming the whole of the final game at the Boleyn on YouTube on Thursday evening.
Such bittersweet memories – we were so good that campaign and we should have come out of it with Champions League or at least Europa League group stage football, only Swansea and Stoke stopped us as we said goodbye to Upton Park.
In light of this, one fan has asked others on social media to pick out their top five players from that sacred campaign.
There were so many standout performers that made that term what it was, but if we have to whittle them down then I’ll go for Dimitri Payet (obviously), Manuel Lanzini in his debut Premier League term, the skipper, Winston Reid and Cheikhou Kouyate.
