It was another all-round great night for our unbeaten U23s on Monday as they stayed three points ahead at the top of the Premier League 2 Division 2, with a 4-0 home trouncing of Norwich.
Whilst we have a far superior goal difference to Man United in second, they do have a game-in-hand and there’s only one automatic promotion spot in that league, so we’re by no means home yet.
It would be an extra special evening for 17-year-old Ademipo Odubeko, though – don’t feel guilty if you haven’t heard of him as it was his Development Squad debut.
And what a successful bow it was, with the youngster scoring just three minutes into it, chipping the ‘keeper deftly from outside the area after being put through.
Understandably, fellow West Ham fans of Twitter are getting excited about the starlet, who began his career at Old Trafford before moving to east London last October and has impressed highly for the U18s so far this season…
Well played Mipo. Hard work pays off 👏🔥
