Sam Inkersole of Football.London has asked loads of fellow West Ham fans which players they think are the worst of the David Gold and David Sullivan era.
He’s compiling a 23-man squad of the most terrible stars from their reign so far, but before you see the Twitter suggestions for the depressing side, we thought we would have a go at making one ourselves – this should be fun.
So assuming that we’re going for a fairly regular dynamic here, three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders and seven attackers, here we go:
We’re a bit spoilt for choice with shot-stoppers but let’s go with Roberto, David Martin (sorry big Dave) and Stephen Henderson and add Roger Johnson, Alou Diarra, Emanuel Pogatetz, Doneil Henry, Alvaro Arbeloa, Patrice Evra, and Pablo Armero.
For the midfield, we’ll have David Bentley, Matthew Taylor, Jack Wilshere, Pablo Barrera, Carlos Sanchez and Havard Nordtveit.
And now for the main event, the attackers: Savio Nsereko, Gokhan Tore, Mido, Benni McCarthy, Marouane Chamakh, Sofiane Feghouli and Simone Zaza…
