I don’t think any of us were expecting anything special, but even so, the players could have at least shown some collective fight against Man City.
Now that the dust has settled on the encounter and we can look back in hindsight, that really was an unacceptable performance. It was pure relegation stuff and there has to be an improvement on Monday night.
It was a poor gameplan with even poorer execution and if City had their shooting boots on all of this would have been reflected in the scoreline – at least our goal difference didn’t take an absolute pounding like we thought it would.
