Lots of fans have been reacting to a Twitter post from Declan Rice in the wake of Wednesday night’s disappointment and anyone who watched the game will know that he’s probably the only one who can hold his head high.
The midfielder Tweeted about his dismay at the result and sent a thank you message to the brave fans who dared to venture to the Etihad.
Supporters then gushed over our Academy hero, with one simply calling him incredible, another stating that he’s a legend who never fails to put 100% in and one more proclaiming that we don’t deserve him.
As well as his usual robust display in front of the defence, we got to see another part of Rice’s game against Man City – a more attacking one as he looked to create and get forward more, mainly in the second half.
