David Moyes spoke to Sky Sports ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Man City, commenting on, among many other things, Jarrod Bowen.
Our new man could be in for his first taste of Claret & Blue action at the Etihad, although fellow fans have been predicting that it won’t come from the starting Xl after what Moyes had to say.
He praised up the 23-year-old, saying that he’s settled in nicely and looked good in training, and lots of supporters saw this as meaning only one thing.
One claimed that the quotes translate to Moyes bringing Bowen on in the 85th minute when we’re 6-0 down, while another said he’ll have Lanzini starting ahead of him.
It will be interesting to see what the boss does with his team on Wednesday with Anderson and Yarmolenko also becoming available for selection…
“But I won’t play him and I’ll sell him in the summer when relegated”

This translates directly to: 85 mins on the bench and then he’ll come on to replace whoever is playing best (we are 6-0 down)

I can’t wait for Moyes to bench him on Wednesday.

And he’ll be sat on the bench tomorrow with Fornals. Nailed on.
