ExWHUemployee revealed last Tuesday that a behind-closed-doors match was taking place to test the fitness of Andriy Yarmolenko and Carlos Sanchez.
The friendly was against Tottenham and we don’t have any more information on it – it doesn’t look like we will hear about it either – unlike the Brentford one a couple of years ago.
Fellow fans don’t like the idea of Sanchez being given the chance to prove his fitness ahead of a possible return to the first-team.
We last saw Sanchez feature for a couple of seconds at Gillingham and he hasn’t been in the squad since the Liverpool home match.
But when Noble needs a rest during our Soucek-less run of fixtures coming up, he could be the man to step in.
Here’s the pick of the reactive Tweets to the friendly…
sanchez ??? send him on holiday with masuaku till the end of the season, then sell both for whatever little money we can get.

Assume we’re hoping that Sanchez isn’t fit.

Hopefully Sanchez won’t be fit.

Is it too far to want Sanchez to get injured again?
— Dan (@kingdaddydan) February 25, 2020
How about we keep all the doors closed after and not let Sanchez out!!

With any luck Sanchez will get injured for the season.

Sanchez should never wear a West Ham shirt again. Not even behind closed doors.

I think Sanchez needs a few more weeks 🙏🏻

Hoping Sanchez fails it so badly that he’s forced into retirement
