Many fellow West Ham fans on Twitter are all talking about one man as the true extent of Ryan Fredericks injury was revealed by the club last Wednesday, and it’s not the 27-year-old.
The club have provided an update on Fredericks, stating that he required surgery on his damaged shoulder ligaments and he will be out of action for around six weeks.
You have to feel for him really, all those other injuries and he suffers a freak fall and causes damage to a freak area, but supporters were more focussed on Jeremy Ngakia as they reacted to the news.
Fredericks’ absence should mean a run in the first team for the 19-year-old until early-to-mid April and if his two Liverpool displays are anything to go by, this should be sufficient time to make the position his own, starting with this Saturday.

What with Fredericks’ injury absence length now confirmed, Ngakia needs to be West Ham’s first choice RB between now and the end of the season, as opposed to Zabaleta.
