An amazing Tomas Soucek statistic from the Man City game has emerged, but many fans on Twitter are not impressed.
According to The Sun, the analysis department were shocked to discover post-match that our new boy had covered over eight miles at the Etihad, more than any of our players for the last six years.
Contrary to the reactions of fellow supporters, you can’t help but be encouraged by this news, especially when the work rate has so obviously been missing in the team at times this season.
If all the players can work that hard on Monday evening, we might actually have a chance of nicking something at Anfield.
It also bodes well for the longer term as the more experienced Soucek could always galvanise the players, mainly his potential future partner Rice, if he’s going to work like that even when things aren’t going well…

He should have ran 8 miles the day he signed for us, to a better team

Aw bless him, one day he’ll realise that everyone starts off well at West Ham, and then realises that they get away with everything and they can just be average ☺️☺️☺️

The rest of the team were eight miles away from Man City.

Can’t say I’m surprised. Some of them struggle to walk from the dressing room.
