Speaking on Sky Sports’ The Debate on Tuesday, 25 February at 22:45, Carlton Cole had his say on Jeremy Ngakia, raving about the young right-back.
The 67-goal ex-Hammer stated that Ngakia’s concentration and focus was immense against Liverpool on Monday night and the way he held his own against the Reds’ superstars was a testament to his quality.
Fellow West Ham fans of Twitter were quick to agree with the 36-year-old on one of the shining lights of a poor season thus far and it’s no surprise given the way we’ve seen him come into the team and perform.
Perhaps most impressive is that he’s done it against the best in the world twice, proving his performance the first time around was no fluke and he’s good enough for this level and we all know that if you’re good enough, you’re old enough.
You can see the pick of the reactive Tweets to Cole’s Ngakia comments, below…
Spot on plays like he does for U23s as stopped up well & should only get better hope this shows we can look to our academy at times for a solution⚒

I’d say he was easily our best right back this season. I sincerely hope he gets a run in the team…

This young man really stepped up to the challenge. Deserves his place in the team. ⚒⚽️

He should be our new right back. Use the money in the transfer window for other areas now that we have him.

Early doors but he has the talent to be a top player.
