Lots of fans on Twitter are clear on who they think the Liverpool Man of the Match was, a certain Declan Rice who was the only real driving force in the side according to one.
Another stated that he was simply the best and two more claimed that Rice was head and shoulders above the rest on the night he faced one of his competition in the England midfield, Jordan Henderson.
We saw a slightly different aspect of the Academy of Football product‘s game last Wednesday evening as he was able to make driving runs from midfield, one of which almost led to ‘Terrific‘ Trent Alexander-Arnold putting through his own net.
The stats back up the impressive nature of Rice’s display also as he was the highest-ranked West Ham player on WhoScored for the game with two shots on target, three dribbles and a pass completion rate only slightly worse than 80%.
Below is a selection of the Tweets calling our ‘future captain’ the Man of the Match…
Rice, only driving force in the team.
Decent debut from Ngakia but MOM Rice, all day long!— Newham Pele (@Hammer177580769) January 29, 2020

Rice, Masu, Oggy, Diop, Fab good. Rice best

Rice, though Ngakia was better and better going forward just a few mistakes defensively. I’d be worried in Fredericks shoes if we buy a RB, given we have Johnson and Ngakia around too.
