Lots of fans on social media have been gushing over the debut display of Jeremy Ngakia last Wednesday night.
The 19-year-old was thrown in at the deep end by Moyes for his first-ever first-team appearance, and what an opposition to face, but left supporters very impressed with his efforts.
One called the right-back class, whilst one more cried out for him to start this Saturday and others praised his attacking intent and willingness to get the ball in the box.
Whilst he was beaten on occasions, including for the penalty incident, Ngakia really caught the eye with his roaming runs into attack, ability to cross with both feet and comfortable nature and pace whilst dribbling.
It may surprise you to learn that the bright spark has only appeared six times in the Premier League 2 this season, registering two assists along the way and might have had a senior assist at London Stadium had there been some real quality on the end of any of his crosses.
One positive from tonight was young Jeremy Ngakia. Imagine making your debut against the best team in the world! And you know what? he was one of our best players tonight. He should be proud of himself and I hope to see more of him ⚒

Thought he was superb. Confident and good decision making. Happily have him start over both Zaba and Fredericks!

He starts sat for me. Him and Antonio down the right is the pace and athleticism we crave. He didnt look out of place at all tonight 👏🏻

Can use both feet as well 🔥

Absolutely agree. He played with composure and confidence. We probably gave too much respect to Liverpool. We might have benefited from pushing up more on them and not giving them so much of the pitch to play on.
Tonight we showed our potential and our problems.— StephenJL (@skyellis666) January 29, 2020

He was brilliant tonight. Great change for Moyes to make instead of Zabaleta. He has confidence but needs to practice on his deliveries
