David Moyes addressed a key issue in his press conference ahead of Leicester this Tuesday, incoming transfers before next Friday’s January deadline.
The gaffer stated that he wants to make a minimum of one new addition to his squad in the next ten days, perhaps two, but there is the possibility that there will be none.
Understandably, fans were in a dire mood on social media after hearing the comments, with multiple predicting the latter eventuality of no new signings, one accusing the board of wanting the club to get relegated and another summing up the whole situation as simply “depressing.”
Yes, Darren Randolph has already been added but the squad undoubtedly needs to be bolstered with a battle to stay at the top level in waiting – just look at the central midfield at the moment, an injury to either Declan Rice or Mark Noble would see Carlos Sanchez in the starting Xl, scary stuff for sure.
Here’s the pick of the appropriately downbeat reactive Tweets to the news from the presser…
None it is then

He already knows no one’s coming. Every club around us are making their business and bringing players in and we’ll end up with the same shallow squad. These owners deserves relegation. These owners doesn’t deserve us. Shameful.

They wont buy, I’m pretty sure they want us to get relegated sell our big names get money, get half price rent on the london stadium because we are in the championship and rake in more money for themselves and never invest.

None it is. Moyes is used by the board and probably paid a nice sum to be a puppet. #GSBOUT
