Fans on Twitter have been debating links to former PSG midfielder Steven Nzonzi as David Moyes looks to bolster the centre of the park before the January deadline.
The Sun reported last Tuesday that the club are keen on bringing him back to the Premier League on loan and the player is fielding offers – Roma are also happy to let him leave.
Moyes is said to have wanted Nzonzi in the past and thinks his top-flight experience will be a key asset with some supporters agreeing and one even urging the board to get it done.
On the other hand, a different group of fans weren’t so keen after hearing about the rumour, with one sarcastically suggesting that this signing would finally take West Ham to the next level!
It’s easy to see both sides of the argument as Nzonzi is a recent World Cup winner after all and plies his trade at a top side in Roma, but he is 31 and would perhaps offer little more than fellow veteran Carlos Sanchez.
This would be a good signing imo.
