West Ham players have been left “stunned” by how poor summer signing Albian Ajeti is, according to Football Insider.
The Swiss forward has struggled to make an impact since arriving in England, and it is understood that his teammates have been suitably unimpressed with his lack of contribution.
The report states that several squad members have been left “stunned” by how “inept” Ajeti is, with some even going as far as to claim he is a “Championship quality” player.

These are stinging words indeed, and they certainly don’t bode well for Ajeti’s future in east London. Given how poor the Hammers have been in recent weeks, you would ordinarily have expected the Swiss international to have gotten his shot by now, but instead, he has found himself languishing on the bench. That, coupled with these latest comments, would seemingly suggest that he could be finished before he’s even really begun. In five Premier League appearances he is still yet to have had a shot or made a successful dribbles, and he has averaged just 0.4 key passes per game in that time, as per Whoscored. Those are not the stats of a world beater. Of course, he could still go on to become a fine player. After all, he is young and adapting to a new league. But right now, the Hammers need answers, not projects, and it’s increasingly apparent that Ajeti cannot offer them.
