There has been an added spotlight on West Ham United’s summer signings this season in the past couple of months. Before Saturday’s 1-0 win against Chelsea, the Irons had not won a game since September, and the pressure was starting to mount on each player and staff member. Claret and Hugh have reported that Mario Husillos could be set to leave the club in the summer after a series of purchases that have been deemed bad buys. That seems strange given that when West Ham were third after a positive start to the season, no one was questioning the Argentinian – something which could highlight unnecessary panic at the London Stadium. Many West Ham fans took to Twitter to slam the report, with many claiming that they strongly disagree with the potential upcoming decision. Some decided to target David Sullivan, claiming Husillos is a scapegoat and admitting that the majority of his signings are better than any ever made by the co-chairman for the Hammers.
