West Ham United Manuel Pellegrini is certainly skating on thin ice at the London Stadium at this moment in time.

One win in more than two months is nowhere near good enough for any Premier League team, so for a side who were third in the league in September, it is quite embarrassing.

The Chilean has been too stubborn in his team selections this season in the past few months, and when he did make a number of changes against Chelsea, it delivered their only three points in that period.

A number of names have already been thrown into the mix to replace Pellegrini, with Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe appearing to catch the eye of many Hammers’ fans.

ExWHUemployee revealed on his personal Twitter account recently that Howe was prepared to enter discussions with the Irons over potentially taking over at the London Stadium.

Howe recently commented on his future at the Cherries, claiming that most of the talk regarding his services in nonsense and that he is concentrating on matters at hand.

“I am 100 per cent committed to this club and I am a little bit embarrassed with the speculation if I am honest after our recent run of results,” he said as quoted by Claret and Hugh.

“It’s all sort of come at a bad time because people will then question ‘has your work been affected by what’s being said outside’ but I don’t read all the nonsense that flies around about it, I focus on my players and training.

“And that is all there is to say on it.”

That doesn’t make good reading for the Hammers’ fans, who will have been hoping that their side could have tempted Howe away from the South coast.

Howe has made a name for himself at Bournemouth by being smart with a smaller budget, but still keeping his side competitive and cementing them as a top-half Premier League side.

That is exactly what West Ham need right now, but they may be forced to look elsewhere after his recent comments on his future.
