The future of West Ham striker remains a confusing one at .

Ajeti has yet to start a single game in the League since arriving, and have started that the Irons are even considering letting their summer signing leave permanently.

Claret and Hugh recently reported that he could be sold after the club had fears over a lack of progress being made. That seems strange given that Manuel Pellegrini has given his new forward little to no chances to even prove himself in the Premier League.

Michail Antonio was the star as the Hammers ended their run without a win, leading the line to great effect against Chelsea in the 1-0 win.

But that’s where the good news stopped in East London, with Football Insider reporting that Antonio is a doubt for the clash against – one game after returning from his last injury.

The reputable outlet claimed on their website that Pellegrini is not overly confident that he can feature at Molineux.

With Sebastien Haller also struggling in recent months, Wednesday would be the perfect opportunity to give Ajeti the chance he has been screaming out for even since joining the club.

The 22-year-old made 43 appearances for Basel last season and was involved in 32 goals – 21 one of those being his own strikes. If that isn’t more than enough proof that he is capable of being the goal threat the Hammers so desperately need then he stands no chance of making it.

Pellegrini can’t be too quick to make a decision on the future of the young forward, especially before even giving him a chance to shine in the top flight.

Haller thrived at Eintracht Frankfurt with a partner in the final third, and there is no reason as to why he shouldn’t give Ajeti the opportunity alongside the Frenchman against Wolves.

With Felipe Anderson and Pablo Fornals not exactly hitting the heights expected of them, a slight system change could do them all a world of good.

The clash against Wolves must be the time for Pellegrini to throw Ajeti into the deep end at Molineux, and finally give him a shot at making it with the Irons.
