Manuel Lanzini has struggled to hit top form so far this season. The Argentine obviously spent most of last season on the sidelines due to the ligament injury that ruled him out of the 2018 World Cup, and while he has had the odd outstanding performance, such as the his outing in the 2-0 win over Norwich City, the fact of the matter is that he has been rather underwhelming a lot of the time. His average of two key passes and 2.5 successful dribbles per game, as per Whoscored, may look good, but those numbers hide the fact that he has been anonymous at times, while his total of two assists and no goals shows a worrying lack of end product. So perhaps it is a little unsurprising to see many West Ham fans calling for his exit after the latest report from The Athletic. The piece states that Juventus were interested in the playmaker over the summer, and that they could be tempted to rekindle that interest at the end of the season. And many fans seem okay with the prospect of him leaving, provided they receive a decent enough transfer fee for him. Obviously, if push came to shove that outlook could change, but right now, it appears to be a fairly popular idea.
