West Ham fans want Howe

It’s a sad prospect, but it would appear that the writing is on the wall for Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham. His side recorded their seventh consecutive game without a win in the Premier League on Saturday with a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Tottenham, and with games against Arsenal, Wolves, and Chelsea to come in the next few weeks, their is nothing to suggest that they won’t extend that run to a nice round 10. That’s relegation form, and a far cry form the dizzy heights they were occupying just a few weeks ago. On that basis, don’t be surprised to see Pellegrini being sent on his way at some point in the near future. If that does happen though, the big question is who will come in to replace the Chilean. According to a claim from reliable source ExWHUemployee, made via his personal Twitter account, one man who could be lined up is Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe. And the young manager could be the ideal fit for the Hammers. Just 41, he is a veteran in the dugout for the Cherries, and would bring with him a free-flowing and attractive style of play. Factor in a points per game of 1.48, as per Transfermarkt, with a side who who should, in theory, be struggling to keep pace with the Hammers, and the hopes would be high of him coming in and turning things around. Whether it happens is another case entirely, of course, but it could be a wonderful appointment if it does.
