Grady Diangana is taking the Championship by storm. The West Ham youngster, currently out on loan at West Brom, is having the time of his life in the second tier, and with every passing game he looks more and more like a player who could do a serious job in the top flight. His latest outing was typically inspired, and it was he who turned on the class to help the Baggies take the lead against Stoke City on Monday evening. His movement and determination to ensure that he could complete an intelligent give and go with Jake Livermore, not to mention his perfectly weighted ball across the face of goal to lay it on a plate for Matt Phillips, were different class, as is becoming the norm for him. That assist was his fourth of the season, and when you factor in his four goals too, it’s easy to see why he has become such a key player for Albion. So far this term, he has averaged 1.6 shots, 1.7 key passes, and 2.6 successful passes per game, as per Whoscored, and it will be interesting to see whether or not Manuel Pellegrini believes he needs to bring that kind of creativity back to east London in January.
