The Spanish ace took to social media to share an image of him and his family with Costa and his loved ones in Hyde Park on Sunday afternoon.
Full-back Costa is currently on loan at Valencia from Villarreal, where Fornals played prior to joining the Hammers over the summer.
Chances are, this isn’t a case of some kind of undercover mission from Fornals, and instead is just an opportunity to catch up with a friend over the international break, which many West Ham fans will surely think is a bit of a shame. That being said, anything that could potentially snap Fornals into form must be seen as a bonus. The midfielder has really struggled to replicate the kind of form that convinced the Hammers to bring him to England from his homeland in the first place. So far this term he has averaged just 0.5 key passes and 0.4 successful dribbles per game for the Irons, as per Whoscored, and that’s simply not good enough for a player of his potential. Maybe a bit of rest and recuperation is what is needed to get him purring, and the sooner he can do that, the better for everybody.
