Serie A club Fiorentina are in pursuit of West Ham attacker Sean Haksabanovic, according to La Nazione.
The Italian newspaper claims that Fiorentina have been in contact with the 20-year-old ahead of the January transfer window as he returns to the London Stadium following a successful loan spell at Swedish side Norrköping.
Haksabanovic scored six goals and supplied eight assists in 29 league appearances for Norrköping in the 2019 Swedish season but it remains to be seen whether or not he will play a role at West Ham now that his loan is over.
West Ham need to have a really good look at Haksabanovic before any decision is made on the Montenegro international’s future at the London Stadium. The 20-year-old has had a successful 2019 while out on loan in Sweden and has even started to feature more regularly for his nation as a result. West Ham are in crisis at the moment and an in-form player like Haksabanovic could actually play a role in the first-team. If Manuel Pellegrini is still in charge of the Hammers come January then the former Halmstads attacker is someone he needs to consider. Haksabanovic can play on the left-wing and at the moment, Felipe Anderson is the only really natural left-winger in the Irons’ senior squad. Fiorentina might struggle to land the Montenegrin if West Ham want to see what he can offer in the Premier League but there has been a real reluctance to call on young players this season.
