Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has emerged as the first choice to potentially replace Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham United, according to Football Insider.
The reputable football outlet have claimed on their website that Howe has been catapulted into the driving seat after the Hammers’ board had held talks through the week.
Football Insider report that the 41-year-old has been labelled the most-promising candidate, and is very keen on taking over at the London Stadium if offered the chance.
It is suggested that Pellegrini is not facing the axe in the immediate future, with him set to remain in charge for the upcoming games against Chelsea and Wolves.

The Bournemouth manager has established the Cherries as a top-half Premier League side in his 11 years on the South coast, and the Hammers need a manager who is capable of turning around their fortunes in the top flight and bringing much-needed stability. The 41-year-old has also proven himself as a smart operator in the transfer window, something that Pellegrini and Husillos have taken some stick over at the beginning of this season. Howe likes to sign young players and develop them into top talents, and that has seen him reap the benefits in terms of results. Given that Howe is keen on a move to the London Stadium gives the Hammers a real boost if they were to target the Cherries’ boss, and they shouldn’t be afraid to try and get a deal sorted sooner rather than later.
