Haksabanovic not part of future

|

Manuel Pellegrini has decided that Sead Haksabanovic does not have a future at West Ham United, according to Claret and Hugh.

The club source claimed on their website that the £3million signing will not be returning to the club at the end of his loan deal with IFK Norrkoping.

Claret and Hugh report that instead, the Montenegro international will either seal a permanent move to the Swedish club or to any other interested side in the summer.

Either way, it is suggested that Pellegrini has made up his mind on the attacking midfielder, who will not be at Rush Green at the beginning of next season.

OPINION

Haksabanovic has been in great form in the past year so it seems harsh that Pellegrini has already made up his mind on the young attacking option. Having said that, the Swedish League is nowhere near the same level as the Premier League, and the Montenegro star probably missed his opportunity to impress in the 7-0 defeat to England on Thursday evening. The 20-year-old has scored six and assisted eight goals in his 29 appearances in 2019, but missed his chance to shine when failing to impress at Malaga. With the money being spent every single year at the London Stadium, Pellegrini will most likely believe that he will be given the funds to go out and strengthen his side in the final third rather than having to rely on Haksabanovic. The exciting youngster hasn’t been given the chance to impress in English football, and the Hammers could regret not sending him to the Championship, which has proved worthwhile with the likes of Grady Diangana.
