Football Insider’s report claiming that West Ham are not ready to offer a new contract to Manuel Pellegrini has caused quite a stir on Twitter, with some supporters at odds about whether or not this is good news or not. West Ham have started the season brilliantly and sit fifth in the Premier League standings having lost just one match, to Manchester City on the opening day. It is understood that co-owner David Sullivan has blocked any talks over a new deal with Pellegrini because he wants to see further improvement by the side. It is fair enough. Pellegrini reportedly earns £200,000-a-week already on his deal at the London Stadium and while the team has started well, the season still has a lot of time to run and many things can go right – or wrong – between now and May. For now, West Ham and Pellegrini need to just focus on what is happening on the pitch, starting with Saturday’s meeting with Crystal Palace at the London Stadium.

There are many clubs who'd have him. So if this is true stop the right greediness. Top Class manager. Back him big time then talk.
