West Ham United could make a move for AC Milan winger Suso as early as the January transfer window, according to Calciomercato.

The Italian outlet claim on their website that fans at the San Siro have lost their patience with the Spanish international, something which could lead to him being offloaded in the winter.

Calciomercato report that the Hammers could be joined in their pursuit by Wolves, Sevilla, and Fiorentina, although it is suggested his most likely destination would be the Premier League.

The 25-year-old has made eight appearances this season already and has failed to score a single goal from the right-hand side.

OPINION

West Ham definitely need to take a step back and question, do they really need Suso at this moment in time? The answer to that would simply be no, with Manuel Pellegrini already having a number of options available to him in the final third. After signing Pablo Fornals in the summer, and securing Manuel Lanzini to a new deal at the beginning of the season, the Hammers are blessed to have a number of quality options in their side. With Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko also starting the season well, the likelihood of Suso arriving at the London Stadium is very low. The Spaniard simply hasn’t done enough to justify a January move this season, and West Ham should distance themselves from the former Liverpool man. A single assist in eight games isn’t good enough, and AC Milan fans could find themselves disappointed should no club decide to take a punt on the 25-year-old.
