Paul Robinson has been in awe of West Ham United winger Grady Diangana this season for his performances on loan at West Brom.

The Sky Sports pundit claimed that the chance for the 21-year-old to go out and earn consistent minutes in the Championship under Slaven Bilic has been a breath of fresh air.

Robinson shared that he believes the Hammers will be delighted with the impact Diangana has had at the Hawthorns, after being involved in seven goals in his 11 appearances.

“I think more so him, he’ll be pleased getting game time because there’s nothing worse for a footballer, as a young footballer than if you’re not playing, you’re nowhere in the squad but you’re training without an end product on a Saturday or a Sunday,” he told Football Insider.

“For him I think it’s probably just a breath of fresh air just to get out, play football and West Ham will be very pleased with how his loan is going.”

Diangana made 17 appearances in the Premier League for the Hammers last season, with 11 of those coming off the bench under Manuel Pellegrini.

OPINION

Both West Ham and Diangana are clearly reaping the benefits of the loan spell at West Brom, with the 21-year-old continuing to shine as the season carries on. The winger has been phenomenal for the Baggies this season, with his pace and flair making him untouchable to many different sides in the Championship, who simply can’t handle him out wide. Diangana offers a constant threat for West Brom and has completed 2.8 dribbles per game according to WhoScored – nearly double the amount of every other player in their entire squad. With players such as Nathan Holland being the latest youngster to be on the verge of the first team, the way that Diangana is shining out on loan could prove that the best place for the Hammers’ starlets to gain more experience is temporarily away from the club, and the West Brom loanee will be coming back to the London Stadium a much better player.
