Things have appeared to have gone from bad to worse for West Ham United in the Premier League.

After going unbeaten for a month, Manuel Pellegrini’s side haven’t won a single game in October and they have slipped down to tenth in the league.

Defeats against Everton and Crystal Palace highlighted their struggles both in defence and going forward, and the recent draw with Sheffield United brought to light an apparent lack of ability to finish teams off when dominating games.

Club-record signing Sebastien Haller hit the ground running when arriving from Eintracht Frankfurt but has since become isolated in the final third.

His last goal came against Palace, and disappointing outings followed as he couldn’t add to his tally for the Hammers after that.

Sky Sports pundit Darren Bent recently claimed to Football Insider that the Hammers need to provide Haller with better service, or was baffled that players such as Felipe Anderson and Manuel Lanzini haven’t been able to do just that.

The Frenchman was visibly frustrated after the game against Sheffield United, and his situation continues to look bleak in East London at this moment in time.

Despite his apparent struggles for the club, Haller still tops the latest Sky Sports power rankings for West Ham – something which surely highlights the poor position the club is in right now.

Haller has more than proven that he is capable of finding the back of the net this season, and Pellegrini will not be too concerned should his side start to improve.

The 25-year-old has not been involved too much, and the fact that he still tops the latest rankings highlights that the rest of his teammates need to step up their game in East London.

West Ham need to find a way to get Haller more involved in games, and if they can’t do just that then they could face a real uphill battle.
