Jeff Stelling has predicted that West Ham will beat Sheffield United 2-0 when the two sides meet on Saturday afternoon.
The Hammers host the Blades this weekend as they look to bounce back from a lacklustre defeat at the hands of Everton in their last outing.
And Stelling believes that they will do just that, forecasting a 2-0 win for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, as per Sky Sports’ Super Six.
OPINION
It’s absolutely vital that West Ham pick up a win against Sheffield United on Saturday. The Hammers have had a decent start to the season, and yet they still find themselves down in 11th. Newly promoted Sheffield United are actually above them in ninth, but if the Hammers have any serious designs on nailing down a European spot this season, this is exactly the kind of game that they must be winning. More than anything though, they need to stop the rot after a dire outing against Everton last weekend. Inconsistencies have plagued the Irons in recent years, so it’s crucial that they get themselves back on track this time around. They certainly have it in their locker to cruise through this one, but United are tough nut to crack, and if they come out swinging, Pellegrini’s boys will have to wary.
